Meat

The beef comes from 2 farms in South Wales. All beef comes into our butcher in carcass form where it is butchered down and then matured for a period of time to ensure the beef is extremely tasty and tender.


All the pork comes in from farms on the Welsh coast, in carcass form where it is butchered into the amazing quality joints such as the trio of pork on the autumn menu.

 

The lamb farms are based in the Glamorgan area. with fantastic quality lambs, especially during the spring, incredibly tasty and tender – something you don’t want to miss out on!

 

All our chickens & Turkey come from red tractor farm assured sites. meaning that you are guaranteed a tasty fresh product.


Throughout the Autumn and Winter seasons our butcher can supply us with wonderful array of local game produce such as Venison, Partridges, Pheasants, Rabbit and other mixed game.

Vegetables

Our fruit & vegetables comes from farmers & growers that have been perfecting their produce for over 40 years. Using natural & traditional methods paired with an unparalleled expertise, the results are the best tasting crops in the region.

 

Our go to potato is grown and cultivated at just a few miles north of Cardiff. The Quality and taste difference is achieved through fine attention to detail throughout the growing season. resulting in a potato crop of the very highest quality.

Fish

Our expert fishmonger has been suppling the finest quality since the 1960's. All caught in British waters & prepared in the Cardiff shop. Meaning the produce is highly sustainable and a showcase of British flavours.

The shellfish is more commonly caught nearer the coastline. Wales is awash with high quality shellfish so which gives us a constant and varied supply.

Our round & flatfish are caught further out, sometimes referred to as 'long shore'. Due to our natural geography we are gifted with a bounty of cold water fish. which, in my opinion, hold the greatest taste profile.

Cheese & Dairy

Our dairy supplier provides us with fresh milk, cream, cheese and yoghurts. They have a long history of producing dairy products that can be tracked to two incredible special ladies:

Telstar Mary (a black and white Holstein)

Duncan Belle (award-winning Jersey).

 

Today, the dairy herds roam freely on pasture-fed grasslands on the Welsh border.
