Elevate your British BBQ with our Grilled Corn on the Cob recipe. Perfectly charred and tender corn brushed with BBQ butter, sprinkled with parmesan and parsley.

Ingredients:

8 ears of corn, husks and silk removed

60 g unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons BBQ sauce

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

50 g grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

Preparing the Corn:

  1. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200-220°C).

  2. Prepare the Corn: Brush each ear of corn with vegetable oil to prevent sticking and to help achieve a nice char.

Grilling the Corn:

  1. Grill the Corn: Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes, until the corn is evenly charred and tender. Be sure to watch closely to prevent burning.

  2. Melt the Butter: While the corn is grilling, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, stir in the BBQ sauce, sea salt, and ground black pepper.

Finishing the Corn:

  1. Brush with Sauce: Remove the grilled corn from the grill and immediately brush each ear with the melted butter and BBQ sauce mixture.

  2. Optional Garnishes: Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the corn while it's still hot, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

Serving:

  1. Serve: Serve the grilled corn on the cob with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavour. Enjoy as a delicious side dish alongside your favourite BBQ mains.

Chef’s Top Tip:

Soak the corn in water for 30 minutes before grilling. This helps keep the corn moist and tender while it grills, preventing it from drying out.

Enjoy this simple yet flavourful grilled corn on the cob at your British BBQ, and watch it disappear from the table in no time!
